South Putnam defeats Speedway

The South Putnam Junior High boys' track team outpaced Speedway for a 69-40 victory Tuesday.

Picking up wins for the Eagles were Matt Lund in the 1,600 meters (5:53) and the 800 meters (2:39), Hunter Barr in the 2,400 meters (9:19), Ryan Chestnut in the shot put (42-4.5) and the discus (113-9) and Wes Riner in the long jump (16-1).

The 400 relay team of Cain Dyson, Justin Bumgardner, Sawyer Arnold and Lewis Knoy were victorious with a time of 51.50.
