No injuries in two-vehicle accident

Saturday, May 2, 2009

Greg Hazlett, Greencastle, was traveling north on Manhattan Road at approximately 7 p.m. Friday, when his 2000 Cheverolet Cavalier went left of center and sideswiped the southbound 1999 Honda Civic driven by Justin Crabb, Terre Haute.

Hazlett was driving home from work when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel. Witnesses told Deputy Jon Chadd with the Putnam County Sheriff's Department Hazlett's vehicle was all over the road just prior to the crash.

Neither driver was injured in the accident.

Seniour's Wrecker Service towed both vehicles from the scene.

This is the second accident in a little more than a week on this stretch of Manhattan Road.

  • I heard the kid got SEVERAL THOUSAND dollars worth of fines due to all the workers that had to come and check on everything and clean it all up. The facts on that one would be nice!
