Flory tosses no-hitter against Warriors

Josh Flory tossed a no-hitter Tuesday night as the South Putnam baseball team defeated Turkey Run 8-1.

Flory fanned 12 Warriors, while the Eagles collected 14 hits on the night.

Noah Boswell led the hit brigade with a two-run homer, while Rob Gibson hit a solo home run. Cameron Chestnut had two hits and three stolen bases, while Grant Zimmerman went 3-for-4 and stole three bases as well.

The South Putnam High School baseball team defended its home field Monday night, defeating Tri-West 5-3.

Leading the Eagles at the plate was Derek Dean went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a double. Boswell also went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Zimmerman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Cameron had a good day at the plate. He went 2-for-4 and added another stolen base to his season collection.

Boswell went the distance for the Eagles, striking out even batters, while giving up only three hits and one earned run.

South Putnam is now 10-5 on the season.
