Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Two accidents involving deer have been reported to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department recently.

Manuel Machuca, Indianapolis, was traveling on Interstate 70 at 8:10 a.m. Sunday when a deer ran in front of his vehicle. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Douglas Disney, Brazil, was traveling west on US 40 at 9:37 p.m. Thursday when a deer ran in front of his vehicle. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Two Reelsville residents were booked into the Putnam County Jail Tuesday for dealing in cocaine or a narcotic drug. The pair was also charged with several felonies.

Lori Archer, 45, and John Deal, 56, both of 5035 S. 800W, Reelsville, were booked just before 3 a.m. Tuesday on charges of receiving stolen property, serious violent felon in possession of a firearm, dealing in cocaine or narcotic drug and maintaining a common nuisance.

In addition, several people were booked into the jail on charges ranging from operating while intoxicated to domestic battery and receiving stolen property.

James Sutherlin, 21, Fillmore, was booked at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday for receiving stolen property.

Joshua Stock, 21, Fillmore, was booked at 11:14 a.m. Tuesday for receiving stolen property.

Jeffrey King, 39, was booked at 2 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.

David Haber, 51, was booked at 12:57 a.m. Tuesday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.

Robbie Stanton, 34, Greencastle, was booked at 10:09 a.m. Tuesday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to appear.

Robert Westgerdes, 40, Fort Recovery, Ohio, was booked at 12:43 a.m. Sunday for operating per se, public intoxication and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Renetta Hartman, 19, Roachdale, was booked at 8:34 a.m. Tuesday for possessing alcohol as a minor and battery.

James Mink, 20, Roachdale, was booked at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday for possessing alcohol as a minor, domestic batter and battery.

Guy Parrish, 21, Greencastle, was booked at 4:12 a.m. Saturday for public intoxication and battery.

Jason Inglert, 36, Greencastle, was booked at 6:38 a.m. Sunday for domestic battery.

Tiffany Inglert, 25, Greencastle, was booked at 6:59 a.m. Sunday for domestic battery.

Misty Crouch, 35, Greencastle, was booked at 1:49 a.m. Tuesday for domestic battery.

Robert Mullins, 35, Cloverdale, was booked at 3:23 p.m. Friday for violation of home detention.

Greencastle Fire Department

Greencastle fire crews responded to various calls during the weekend.

On Friday, crews were dispatched to 1 Taylor Place at 4:51 p.m. for a fire alarm. They were disregarded and back in service at 4:55 p.m.

A duplicate run was made to 1 Taylor Place at 10:01 a.m. Saturday. They were back in service at 10:19 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at Jackson and Hannah streets at 2:36 p.m. Saturday. They were back in service at 3:01 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 845 Robinwood Dr. at 6:25 p.m. Saturday for a carbon monoxide investigation. Nothing was found and they were back in service at 6:58 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 106 S. Spring St. at 11:21 p.m. Saturday for a fire alarm. They were back in service at 11:27 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to Humbert's Hall, 208 E. Olive St., at 12:03 a.m. Sunday for a fire alarm. They were disregarded and back in service at 12:07 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 301 E. Seminary St. at 6:14 p.m. Sunday for a fire alarm. They were disregarded and back in service at 6:15 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to a lift assist at 803 Crescent Drive at 11:04 p.m. Sunday. They were back in service at 11:12 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to McClure's gas station, 1148 S. Bloomington St., at 1:24 p.m. Monday for a small gasoline spill. A vehicle overflowed, spilling approximately three gallons of gasoline. After clean up, crews were back in service at 1:34 p.m.
