Eagles down Cougars 2-0

The South Putnam softball team picked up a win against North Putnam Thursday night at home 2-0.
The squads battled for four scoreless innings, until Katelyn Sibbitt drove in the only runs the Eagles would need on the night.
Sarah Burnham pitched a complete game, allowing four hits, while collecting eight strikeouts. Her counterpart Taylor Judy tossed nine strikeouts and allowed four hits.
In addition to Sibbitt, Emily Dabkowski was 1-for-2 for the Eagles, with Brooke Boetjer chipping in a 2-for-3 performance at the plate.
The Eagles will be back in action Monday when they host Greencastle at 5 p.m.
