Ban sets new Cougar record

The North Putnam boys track team recorded seven first place finishes against Speedway and Cascade.

Jerrett Ban was first in the 100 meter dash in a time of 11.5 and in the long jump with a jump of 22-feet-5.5-inches. The distance in the long jump set a North Putnam record.

P.J. Ender won the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.5, while Seth Vondersaar won the discus competition with a distance of 143-feet-11-inches. Ken Quisenberry won the 1,600 meter run in a time of 4:41.

The 400 meter relay team of Jeremy Minor, Tyler Osborn, Ender and Ban were victorious.

The Cougars will compete at the Cascade Relays today at 5 p.m.
