John R. Harding

John R. Harding, 66 of Greencastle died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Putnam County Hospital.

Born Oct. 26, 1942 in Greencastle, he was the son of Vincent and Pauline McCurry Harding. He was a 1961 graduate of Greencastle High School. He married Janice Cooper on Oct. 26, 1985 and she survives.

Mr. Harding had owned and operated Harding Radiator Service for 43 years. He played guitar most of his life, playing in several bands and winning several awards. He also enjoyed and took several classes in photography.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Tracy Snow and husband, Fred of Brazil and Cheri Kellum and husband Mike of Spencer; two sons, John David Harding of Brazil and John Christopher Harding and wife Connie of Kentucky; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home.
