GHS baseball defeats Clovers

The Greencastle baseball team came from behind to defeat Cloverdale 10-8 Tuesday.

The Tiger Cubs trailed 7-6 going into the sixth inning when Kyle Nobles gave GHS the lead. Nobles smashed a two-run bomb to centerfield, giving Greencastle the lead for good.

Trey Ford led the GHS charge with a 3-for-3 performance, including a single, a double and a triple. He also had three RBIs. Nobles was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run and three RBIs.

Justin Bartrum, Keegan Remsburg and Pat Richardson all had hits on the night.

Logan Grzesiek, Ford and Jesse Vermillion all took to the mound for Greencastle, with Vermillion picking up the win.

Greencastle is back in action today against North Vermillion on the road at 5 p.m.
