On May 7, the Federal Executive Association, Greater Indianapolis Area Chapter, honored Mr. Robert W. Fielden, Cloverdale, with their Federal Employee of the Year for the State of Indiana in Community Service award.

He and his wife Candy have two adult children, Meagan Monds and Hunter Fielden, both of whom graduated from Cloverdale High School.

Robert earned his Eagle Scout award with Troop 245, Lawrenceville, Ill., in 1975. He is a Product Assurance Team Specialist for the Department of Defense.

The citation read as follows:

"Mr. Robert Fielden exemplifies the Scout Oath and spends countless hours behind the scenes planning and participating in events for the Boy Scouts of America in the Wabash Valley District, Crossroads of America Council.

"Bob impacts the lives of many youth and provides the leadership and ideals that will make these youth learn the skills to be successful adults and the kind of leaders this country needs. He spends 500 hours a year to lead various camping expeditions and special events to teach youth self-reliance, physical and mental fitness, outdoor survival, citizenship, and leadership skills.

"He exemplifies the Scout Oath and Law and uses the same qualities in his work as a Product Assurance Supervisor for the Department of Defense. He still devotes his time to an organization that he has been a part of since his own youth even though his son is now an adult.

"By investing in the youth in his area, Bob is assuring the successful future of the country and the State of Indiana. Mr. Robert Fielden is a great example of what it means to serve the community and make a difference in someone's life being the role model that so many of our youth need."
