Blake Allen Batchelor

Blake Allen Batchelor, 16, of Bainbridge died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in rural Putnam County.

He was born Oct. 22, 1992, the son of Richard B. and Paula Hemingway Batchelor.

Blake was a student at North Putnam High School, having just completed his freshman year. He was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church, St. Augustine Episcopal Church, the North Putnam football and wrestling teams and Boy Scout Troop #302. He was an avid reader and weight lifter.

Survivors include his parents; brothers Cody and R.J. Batchelor; grandparents Richard H. and Suzanne Batchelor and Richard A. and Billie Lee Hemingway; great-grandmother June Batchelor; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and girlfriend Megan.

A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday in the North Putnam High School Gymnasium. Arrangements are being handled by Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the North Putnam High School athletic department.
