"Christmas at the Fair" brings the holiday spirit of giving early to the Putnam County Fair this year. Family, Friends and Fun Club, along with The Rustlers and Country Baking Bunch are sponsoring "Christmas at the Fair" during Family Day at this year's Putnam County Fair.

"In the spirit of giving, we are having a food drive and will be collecting nonperishable foods in the Adult Open Class Building at the Putnam County Fairgrounds," said Shelly Tahtinen, who is a member of the Family, Friends and Fun Club.

Donations will be held in the Wal-mart Transportation semi-trailer that is parked on the fairgrounds during the fair. They will help sort and transport the food to the various food banks around the county.

"We hope to get something to every single food bank. Sponsors for the food drive as well as contributions are welcome," added Tahtinen.

The group collecting the most items will receive desserts and drinks for their next meeting from Treasures on the Square.
