Putnam County Jail

Randy Howard, 46, Reelsville, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 11:03 p.m. Monday for mischief, provocation and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

Troy Whitis, 44, Seymour, was booked at 11:54 p.m. Monday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating per se and public intoxication.

Jerramy Bushong, 21, Fillmore, was booked at 2:12 a.m. Tuesday for domestic battery.

Robert Sims, 20, Fillmore, was booked at 3:28 a.m. Tuesday for public intoxication and possessing of alcohol as a minor.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Caitlin Campbell, Greencastle, was traveling north on US 231, when she lost control of her vehicle while rounding a curve. The vehicle left the road, struck a ditch and crossed back into the southbound lane before coming to rest at the top of a hill.

The accident occurred at 10:55 p.m. May 26. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

James Miller, Fillmore, was approaching a 90-degree curve on CR 275E, when he lost control causing the vehicle to strike a ditch and flip over. The accident occurred at 4 a.m. Friday.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Rhonda Kline, Greencastle, was traveling west on CR 25N, where the road curves south and becomes CR 625W, when she ran off the road and struck a tree.

According to the accident report, Kline "was probably going to fast to make the turn." She stated she was unfamiliar with the area.

The accident occurred at 12:30 p.m. Monday. Seniours Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Rosmarin Whalen, Terre Haute, was traveling west on Interstate 70, when she swerved to avoid a lawn chair in the roadway. Her vehicle traveled into the median and a ditch. The accident occurred at 7:15 p.m. May 24.

There was an estimated $750 to $1,000 in damages.

Sara Sutherlin, Greencastle, was traveling west on W. Walnut Street and rounded a curve at CR 400W, when she lost control of her vehicle due to wet pavement. Her vehicle left the road and traveled down an embankment. The accident occurred at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday.

Seniours Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Mary Selke, Rockville, was traveling west on US 36, just west of CR 775W, when her vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle traveled approximately 250 feet before striking a tree and utility pole.

Selke was unconscious at the scene and had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was flown to Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis via a medical helicopter.

According to the accident report, Selke "may have suffered a type of medical problem prior to the crash."

The accident occurred at 2:40 p.m. May 30. Kenny's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.
