50 Years of Service

Bob England, above, displays a plaque presented to him for his 50 years of services as a 4-H leader of the RPBs club. England was honored Thursday night at a pitch-in dinner hosted by the RPBs and the Jolly Junior 4-H Clubs celebrating his landmark accomplishment. Among those honoring England in the ceremony at the Putnam County Fairgrounds Community Building was former extension educator Darrel Thomas, below, who shared some humorous stories about his dealings with England through their years of 4-H service.

How about a definition of "RPB" for those of use who know Mr. England but not 4-H?

RPB stands for Reelsville Plow Boys but 4-h changed a few years ago and does not allow gender bias so the club voted for the change of name to just RPB's. Congrats and Thanks to Mr England for your service to the youth of Putnam county and 4-h.

Mr. England is a great friend to 4H and kids! His dedication to the program and generations of kids he has affected will never be forgotten! He was a leader to 3 generations of our family and we will remember him forever! Congratulations, Mr. England!
