Warren LaVern Cox

Warren LaVern Cox, 82, of Greencastle died on Thursday, July 23, 2009.

He was the son of the late Fred and Hazel Swinford Cox. He married Audrey Nell Petty on Sept. 24, 1949 and she preceded him in death in 1992.

Mr. Cox was a World War II navy war veteran and lifetime member of the Moose Lodge. He retired from DePauw University maintenance.

He is survived by three daughters and one daughter-in-law, Nancy and Tom Brock, Joyce and Earl Johnston, Janet and Ken Brown, and Linda Cox; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by sons Steven Warren Cox and John Fredrick Cox.

Calling will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Greencastle, with service at noon with Robert Davies officiating. Graveside services will follow at Clinton Falls Cemetery.
