Putnam County Museum holds annual meeting

GREENCASTLE -- The ballroom at DePauw University was filled with light-hearted laughter Saturday evening as the Putnam County Museum celebrated its achievements from the past year.

A silent auction featured the work of local artists including pottery pieces by the Peelers, handspun items, coffee table books, a fainting couch and much more.

Highlight of the evening was a talk on "The Role of Quakers in Indiana History" by Dr. Tom Hamm from Earlham College. Not only is Hamm a history teacher and archivist at the college, he is a noted Quaker scholar with ancestors in Putnam County.
