Endowment to benefit Hope Haven

Pam Rossok, Christina Menke with Hope Haven, "Darla," Chris Wells and Penny Wells (Chris' mom) took some time out from signing papers for the Jill Wells Endowment for Hope Haven Monday afternoon to pet Darla, one of the farm's horses.

Chris Wells loves going to Hope Haven. His sister Jill also loved the organization because it did so much for her brother. In Jill's honor, their aunt Pam Rossok founded the Jill LeAnn Wells Endowment for Hope Haven at the Putnam County Community Foundation.

The fund is designed to benefit Hope Haven. Anyone can contribute to it to support Hope Haven or to memorialize Jill, who passed away in November 2008.

"Jill loved Hope Haven because the organization has done so much for her brother, Chris," said Rossok.

Jill was a 1988 South Putnam High School graduate and attended Indiana University. She was the manager of the Terre Haute Kroger store until her death.

"This endowment is the perfect way to honor Jill's memory and support a local charity that means so much to our family," Rossok added.

Hope haven provided Chris with opportunities to excel, learn and grow.

"This fund means so much to Hope Haven because it memorializes Jill and provides a sustaining source of funding for our program," said Christina Menke, Executive Director of Hope Haven.

Hope Haven Horse Farm, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting growth, learning, hope and opportunities for at-risk youth and special needs residents in Hendricks, Putnam and surrounding counties.
