Wednesday, September 2, 2009

Greencastle Christian Church will be hosting Financial Peace University beginning with a free preview class on Sept. 9. The preview will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the worship center, located at Greencastle Christian Church, 620 Primrose Lane. The first class will be held on Sept. 16 at 6:30 p.m.

Do you want to get out of debt? Come see how by attending Financial Peace University. This is a DVD series featuring Dave Ramsey, an extremely popular national radio personality and best-selling author of The Total Money Makeover, Financial Peace and More Than Enough. He is also host of "The Dave Ramsey Show" on Fox Business Network.

Each of the 13 lessons deals with a different topic that will change the way students think about personal finance. Ramsey teaches about how to save money, live on a budget, communicate about money, eliminate debt, find bargains and experience the joy of giving.

More than 650,000 families have completed FPU with amazing success. On average, they pay off $5,300 in debt and save $2,700 in just 13 weeks. That's an $8,000 change in position in just 91 days!

Powerful. Enlightening. Fun. FPU classes will meet each week to watch a video lesson and participate in discussion groups that will change their thinking about money. Ramsey explains how money really works in a simple, easy-to-understand style. He actually makes it fun while you learn.

Beat Debt. Build Wealth. The goal of Financial Peace University is not just information -- we're looking for transformation. Financial management is only 20 percent knowledge and 80 percent behavior. The classes help break the bad habits that rob people of true financial success.

A personal money management expert, Ramsey is an extremely popular national radio personality and best-selling author. Ramsey knows first-hand what financial peace means in his own life -- living a true rags to riches to rags to riches story. By age 26, he had established a $4 million real estate portfolio, only to lose it by age 30. He has since rebuilt his financial life and now devotes himself full-time to helping ordinary people understand the forces behind their financial distress and how to set things right.

Through his proven plan, Ramsey helps people eliminate debt and credit cards, learn to budget, avoid bankruptcy, build wealth and find financial peace. "The Dave Ramsey Show" is syndicated to more than 400 radio stations nationwide with more than 4 million weekly listeners.
