Submissions sought for Putnam magazine

GREENCASTLE -- Back by popular demand, the Putnam County Public Library is publishing the second Putnam County Literary Magazine.

This publication is open to all residents of Putnam County, regardless of age.

Submissions should be no more than 250 words. All styles of writing are encouraged, including poetry, short stories, journal entries and interviews. Submissions for this magazine are not limited in subject matter, but should be appropriate for all ages to view.

There is no cost for submission, but copies will not be returned. Retain a copy of the work for personal records.

The author/artist retains all copyright to their work.

Previously published work will be considered, but list the previous location of publication in the submission. Works that have been published on the Internet would be considered previously published. List the Web site address of all works, which have been e-published. A notification will be sent should the work be chosen for inclusion.

Putnam County Public Library is not responsible for lost or damaged materials, nor is it responsible for postal charges or late delivery.

Submissions must be in a Microsoft Word document or rich text format and can be sent electronically to Rajean Gallagher at rajeang@putnam.lib.in.us with the e-mail subject heading "Submission for Literary Magazine."

Works will also be accepted in electronic format such as disk and CD. Mail them to Rajean Gallagher, Program Coordinator, Putnam County Public Library, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle, IN 46135, Re: Submission to Literary Magazine.

The last day for submission is Nov. 6. The work must be postmarked by that date.

The publication date will be formalized later based on quantity of submissions.
