Donald P. Darrah

Donald P. Darrah, 74, Greencastle, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 at the James Rouderbush West 10th Veteran's Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Oct. 2, 1935 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Millard and Inez Ingram Darrah.

Mr. Darrah was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He had worked in the kitchen at the Putnam County Hospital for several years and previously worked in a drugstore and antique shop.

Survivors include his sisters, Mildred Ann Workman and husband Ronald Lee and Sandra Kay Young and husband Kenneth, both of Greencastle; a brother, James Darrah and wife Brenda of San Francisco, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with the Rev. Troy Trout officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
