GHS opens season with a tie against Chargers

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The Greencastle girls' swim team opened the season with a 92-all tie with North Montgomery Tuesday.

Seniors Sara Culler and Melissa Ball recorded two wins each on the night.

Culler captured the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle, while Ball won the 200 IM and the 100 freestyle. The 200 freestyle relay also picked up a win on the night.

Head coach Luke Beasley commented that is was an exciting meet, with GHS holding an advantage late, but a rallying Charger squad tied it up in the final event of the night.

The Tiger Cubs will host Crawfordsville Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
