Thursday, November 19, 2009

The mantracking workshop will be held Saturday at the Bellmore Fire Station.

The workshop begins at 8 a.m. with a classroom presentation. It will then move to the Raccoon Lake area for a demonstration followed by a break for lunch. Finally, everyone will complete a much larger course for evaluation and finishing by 4 p.m.

No dogs will be permitted at this training.

This training is for K-9 handlers, backup handlers, search and rescue teams, ground search teams, field medics, law enforcement and anyone interested in learning to track an individual by using ground disturbance, vegetation and foliage

The class is $30 for AMA members, and $60 for non-members, which will make them AMA members for 2010.

The Bellmore Fire Station is at the intersection of US 36 and SR 59 in Parke County.
