Community Cantata Choir presents 'The Mystery and the Majesty' Sunday

GREENCASTLE -- A community cantata choir representing nine churches will be giving two performances of "The Mystery and the Majesty" by Joseph Martin.

The first performance is on Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. at the Greencastle Presbyterian Church. The second performance is Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. at Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church. Length of the cantata is 45 minutes.

The performances are free.

Director of music and accompanist is Cheryl Beck. Choir director is Patrick Meyer. Narrators include Hector Carillo, Margo Thomas, Zach Wilkerson, John Baughman and Harriet Watson.

DePauw instrumentalists include Rachel Glenister (violin), Kevin Celebi (trumpet), and Sarah Chamberlain (flute). Soloists are Sarah Horton and Bradley King.

The Gobin Memorial United Methodist Handbell Choir will perform at 4 p.m.
