Tuesday, December 8, 2009

INDIANAPOLIS -- State Rep. Nancy Michael (D-Greencastle) will bring her Statehouse office to the 44th House District on Dec. 18 to meet with area residents, answer their questions about the 2010 session of the Indiana General Assembly and help them respond to any problems they might be having with state government agencies.

"I will be conducting office hours in both Putnam and Clay Counties on Friday, Dec. 18," Michael said. "This is a chance for my constituents to talk with me in person if they want to discuss the upcoming legislative session, which starts on Jan. 5.

"If they are having any problems with state agencies, or need some help maneuvering through the red tape, I encourage them to join me during office hours to see if we can find some answers," she continued. "Since coming to the Indiana House, I have placed a priority on constituent service, and I want to make myself as available as possible to the people I represent."

Michael will conduct office hours at the following locations on Dec. 18:

* Putnam County Library in the Rotary Room, 9 a.m. to noon.

*Clay County Courthouse, Commissioners Room (First Floor), 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Anyone who cannot see the lawmaker during her office hours can reach Michael by calling her on the toll-free Statehouse telephone number of (800) 382-9842, e-mailing her through her web site at www.in.gov/H44 or writing to her in care of the Indiana House of Representatives, 200 W.
