Wendy K. Bright Wright

Wendy K. Wright, 58, of Belle Union died on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born Aug. 12, 1951, in Greencastle and was the daughter of the late Walter C. Bright Sr. and Elizabeth A. Brokamp Bright Woodard.

Mrs. Wright was a cook at the Department Corrections Facility in Plainfield and a member of St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church in Greencastle. She was married to James Craigory Wright Sr. and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2005.

She is survived by daughter Kimberly Fillers of Hamilton, Ga.; son James Craigory Wright Jr. and wife Jessica of Pinson, Ala.; sisters Wanda J. Williams of Cloverdale, Wilma K. Farrington and husband Robert of Belle Union and Waneta Bassett and husband Don R. of Greencastle; brothers Walter C. Bright Jr. and wife Oressa of Belle Union, Wayne L. Bright and wife Linda of Greencastle, William Bright and wife Pat of Greencastle and Warren A. Bright and wife Robin L. of Stilesville; and one step-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale with Father Stephen Jarrell officiating. Calling will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the New Providence Cemetery.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather Gerald Oscar Woodard.
