Putnam County Jail

Dana L. Couch, 46, Cloverdale, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 11:18 p.m. Friday for public intoxication and violation of probation.

Michael R. Soto, 36, Greencastle, was booked at 2:26 a.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.

Michael W. Davis, 21, Cloverdale, was booked at 2:19 p.m. Monday for petition to revoke probation.

Kevin G. Vaughn, 47, Brazil, was booked at 4:07 p.m. Monday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Fonda J. Nesbit, 47, Terre Haute, was booked at 10:38 p.m. Monday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of paraphernalia.

Daniel R. Hagan, 31, Fillmore, was booked at 1:32 p.m. Tuesday for non-support of a child.

Dale K. William, 33, Greencastle, was booked at 1:59 p.m. Tuesday for violation of home detention.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Orcenith G. Smith was traveling on SR 240E near Greencastle at 11:40 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. His vehicle struck a culvert.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Smith's vehicle. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Amanda Fox of Coatesville was traveling east on US 40 at 11:50 p.m. Jan. 30, when she fell asleep at the wheel. She stated she didn't wake up until after her vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree.

Steele's Wrecker Service towed her vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Johnny D. Landers of Greencastle was traveling north on CR 725E near Fillmore at 10:54 p.m. Jan. 26, when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a mailbox and tree as he attempted to re-enter the road.

Seniors' Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Scott A. Denham of Thorntown was traveling west on CR 236 near Roachdale at 12:40 p.m. Friday, when a large gust of wind caused his vehicle to fishtail. He lost control of his vehicle due to the snow and ice-covered roadway and left the roadway. His vehicle continued down a ditch before striking a concrete post.

The impact with the post ripped the front tire and spring from his vehicle and made it spin 360 degrees. Denham did not complain of injuries at the scene.

Kenny's Wrecker Service towed his vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Rita F. Keck of Roachdale was traveling on CR 250E near Bainbridge at 3:55 p.m. Friday, when she lost control of her vehicle due to snow-covered roadways and struck a culvert.

Kenny's Wrecker Service towed her vehicle from the culvert. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Dakota G. Campbell of Greencastle was traveling east on CR 210N at 9:19 p.m. Feb. 3, when his vehicle began sliding on the icy roadway causing it to slide down an embankment and stopping on its side.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Kaley E. Robbins of Carmel was traveling on US 40E near Belle Union at 6:53 p.m. Feb. 3, when her vehicle struck a deer in the middle of the road. The animal had been struck by another vehicle. Robbins' vehicle went over the top of the deer causing damage to the undercarriage.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Myrna Y. Hernandez of Plainfield was traveling on US 40E near Belle Union at 6:53 p.m. Feb. 3, when her vehicle struck a deer. Her vehicle initially struck the deer Robbins' vehicle struck.

Hernandez's vehicle was not towed. There was an estimated $750 to $1,000 in damages.

Richard D. Walden of Reelsville was traveling on CR 950S near Reelsville at 12:46 p.m. Saturday, when he attempted to make a curve from 950 to CR 400W and slid on a patch of ice. Walden's vehicle then struck an oncoming vehicle driven by Gregory A. Kavanaugh of Knightsville on the left side.

Seniors' Wrecker Service towed Walden's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Cathy M Larimore of Fillmore was traveling on Manhattan Road at 1 p.m. Saturday, when her vehicle slid sideways and struck trees at a residence. Her vehicle came to rest in a ditch approximately 150 feet to the other side of the driveway.

Larimore complained of pain to her back and neck. Operation Life transported her to Putnam County Hospital. Senior's Wrecker Service towed her vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Garnie Trent of Greencastle was plowing snow on CR 325W near Greencastle at 8:48 a.m. Monday, when his vehicle hit a patch of ice and struck an oncoming vehicle driven by Nicole Markley of Avon.

Seniors' Wrecker Service towed Markley's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Paul D. Bottorff of Carmel was traveling on CR 250E near Bainbridge at 4:17 p.m. Sunday, when he came to a 90-degree curve and slid into the other lane striking a vehicle driven by Tina M. Gurney of Roachdale.

Seniors' Wrecker Service towed both vehicles from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Ross A. Oliver of Roachdale was traveling on CR 250E near Carpentersville at 8:25 a.m. Monday, when he was unable to stop for a stop sign due to icy road conditions and struck the back of a vehicle driven by Steven W. Keck of Bainbridge.

Neither vehicle was towed. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Kaleigh M. Miller of Coatesville was traveling on CR 350N near Brick Chapel at 11 a.m. Sunday, when she attempted to pull to the side of the road due to an approaching vehicle. The vehicle's front tires left the roadway causing it to strike a small group of trees.
