Weather pushes back tournament start again

GREENCASTLE -- For another day, sporting events in Putnam County took a beating due to the severe weather. The North Putnam Class 2A girls' basketball sectional has been pushed back another day and will begin tonight.

In the first game, Cascade and Monrovia will tangle, followed by the Cloverdale and Covenant Christian match-up. North Putnam will play the first game on Friday against Tri-West at 6 p.m., with South Putnam to follow against Speedway at 7:30 p.m.

Greencastle's sectional contest against Edgewood will take place on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Class 3A Sullivan girls' basketball sectional.

The Putnam County boys' swim meet has been moved from North Putnam to South Putnam tonight at 6 p.m.

Cloverdale's boys' basketball game against Southmont has been moved to Saturday at 1 p.m. Head coach Pat Rady will be going for his 700th career win in the contest.
