Sharing with Friends

Tuesday, February 16, 2010
Residents at Asbury Towers had a colorful array of quilts, dolls and handmade items that they shared with friends Monday afternoon at their "Presidents Day/Valentine Hey Hey" celebration. Bernice Minnick, Lucile Burkett, Helen Knauer and Winifred Yant showed off some of their prized possessions. The blue quilt in the center was a 50th anniversary present from friends. Every square has a quote from one of her friends on it. The red, white and blue quilt was a wedding present to Bernice Minnick's parent made by her grandmother Nancy Nichols in 1915. Bea Allen made the doll in the background.
