Strong 1st quarter lifts Lady Tiger Cubs 8th grade

MONROVIA -- The Greencastle eighth grade girls basketball team took a big first-quarter lead and rode it to a 33-21 victory over Monrovia Thursday night.

The Lady Tiger Cubs scored 16 first-quarter points to go up 16-4 after one.

"It was a team effort tonight," said GMS coach Bruce Cook.

The girls are back in action at 6 p.m. Tuesday when they visit Tuttle.
