Eagle track hosts 3-way

South Putnam's Rachel Egold crosses the finish line after her anchor leg, as the Eagles won the 3,200 relay in a time of 11:24.

GREENCASTLE -- The South Putnam track teams hosted Northview and Owen Vally on Thursday night, with the Lady Eagles finishing second, while the boys were third.

For the girls, the 3,200 relay team won in a time of 11:24, while the 1,600 relay team was victorious in 4:49.

Aline Schmidt had a pair of victories, taking both the long jump (15-feet-4) and 200 (28.4). Rachel Egold won the 800 (2:42) and Amanda Lund won the 3,200 (13:54).

The Eagles visit Cascade for a coed meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
