Volunteers give a lift to local school

Monday, April 19, 2010
Indiana State University students Chelsie Mason, left, and Cori Moore do some painting Saturday in the gym of Reelsville Elementary. Mason and Moore were among approximately 180 college students from 14 campuses, who are members of the Indiana Student Education Association, to remodel the 1954 block-brick school. The project, called Outreach to Teach, included washing walls, landscaping, organizing several teacher's classrooms, a "new" sign out front, work on the playground and remodeling the teacher's lounge and painting in the gym.
