GREENCASTLE -- The Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce will present its 20th annual golf scramble May 14 at Old Hickory Golf Club.

Registration and lunch sponsored by Walmart Distribution will be at 10:30 a.m., followed by a noon shotgun start.

Cost is $55 per player and includes golf, cart, lunch and more. It will be an 18-hole Florida style scramble that includes the chance for $10,000 courtesy of North Salem State Bank for a hole-in-one on hole number 9.

Trophies and prizes for the top three teams are sponsored by Taylor-Made Awards. Two free drinks per golfer will come courtesy of RHS -- A Republic Service Co., and Ivy Tech Community College will sponsor the afternoon snack.

The Chamber is still looking for hole and scoreboard sponsorships for $100 each, including a professional sign.

Business after hours will follow the event from 5 to 7 p.m.

Participants and the general public are also invited to take part in the Chamber Ball Drop, which will take place after the golfing is over. Golf balls will be dropped from a 60-foot bucket truck onto the first green at Old Hickory. The first ball in the hole or the one closest to the hole will split half the proceeds of the ball drop.

Cost for Ball Drop balls is two balls for $5 or five for $10. Entries are available from now until the day of the scramble. For more information, contact the Chamber, 653-4517 or gchamber@gogreencastle.com.

Entrants in the ball drop do not have to be present to win.
