Records bested,tied by GHS boys' track

GREENCASTLE -- The Greencastle boys' track team won a hotly-contested three-way meet with Northview and Edgewood Tuesday night. They also tied or beat a pair of stadium records.

The Tiger Cubs edged the Knights 60.5-58.5. The Mustangs finished with 47 points.

The 400 relay team of Jordan Hickam, Trevor Teal, Steven Miller and Ryan Payne beat its own school and stadium records with a 43.61 for the victory.

Miller had a great night individually as well, tying the stadium record in the 200 with a 22.66. He also won the 100 in 11.42.

Hickam also had a nice night, winning both the long jump (19-5) and the high jump (5-10).

Other winners included Nate Haynes in the 400 (53.63), Cameron Cash in the 800 (2:06) and the 1,600 relay (3:36).

Results from the girls' meet were not available at press time.
