GREENCASTLE -- While severe weather wreaked havoc on the scheduled opening of Parkfest at Robe-Ann Park last Tuesday, the festival is slated to continue this week with twice the music.

With last week's performance canceled, both Van Terry and originally scheduled act The Fret Set Band will perform this Tuesday. Van Terry's performance will be at 5:30 p.m., with the regularly scheduled Fret Set going on at 7 p.m.

The Fret Set Band was established in 1994 in Greencastle. It is composed of a group of friends who like to play traditional American folk music and fiddle tunes.

Lenora Bowlby has been playing the lap dulcimer since she made her first dulcimer in 1980. Her first instrument was the harmonica, and she also fiddles around on the fiddle.

Jill Dombrowski is adept on the hammered dulcimer. She plays multiple instruments.

Don Bowlby plays mandolin and jaw harp. He started out on the lap dulcimer that he made in 1980.

Rick Smock has been singing and playing guitar forever.

Larry "Rooster" Kersey has been playing instruments of one kind or another all his life. He plays bass in the band.

Bill Lorton played rock 'n roll guitar in school. He took up the banjo and then the fiddle. He also plays mandolin.

The Fret Set plays regularly at the Indiana State Fair, at the Pioneer Barn. The band plays for festivals, weddings, fundraisers and at Parkfest.

As scheduled last week, the music will coincide with the new Tuesday farmers' market at Robe-Ann, which runs from 5 to 8 p.m.
