Putnam County Jail

Carrie L. Biddle, 27, Mellott, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 4:49 a.m. Wednesday for visiting a common nuisance, selling methamphetamine and on a warrant out of another county.

Jeremiah C. Denger, 23, Spencer, was booked at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday for violation of probation.

Daniel J. Holycross, 33, Crawfordsville, was booked at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday for selling methamphetamine and visiting a common nuisance.

Tiffany N. Leman-Willhite, 26, Crawfordsville, was booked at 12:11 a.m. Wednesday for selling methamphetamine, visiting a common nuisance and on a warrant out of Montgomery County.

James A. Means, 58, Greencastle, was booked at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday for violation of probation.

Albert E. Schanlaub Jr., 32, New Ross, was booked at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday for selling methamphetamine and visiting a common nuisance.

Christina N. Williams, 26, Greencastle, was booked at 4 p.m. Tuesday for violation of probation, battery and public intoxication.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Jeffery R. St. Onge of Liberty, Kan., was traveling west on Interstate 70 at 12:44 a.m. Wednesday, when a tractor-trailer operated by James A. Reynolds struck the back of his vehicle.

Reynolds stated St. Onge was traveling too slowly. Steele's Wrecker Service towed St. Onge's vehicle. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Misty D. Hassler of Brazil was westbound on US 40 at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, when her vehicle struck a deer. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Daniel C. Masten of Greencastle was traveling north on CR 325W at 11:21 p.m. Monday, when his vehicle struck a deer. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Amanda Keasling of Avon was traveling west on US 40 at 9:17 p.m. Saturday, when she swerved to avoid an eastbound vehicle traveling in her lane causing her vehicle to come to rest in a ditch. The driver of the eastbound vehicle stated he swerved in Keasling's lane to avoid a deer.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Keasling's vehicle. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 109 W. Hanna St. at 7:36 p.m. Tuesday, but were disregarded before leaving the station.

Crews were dispatched to 1057 Avenue D at 1:03 p.m. Wednesday to assist Operation Life. They were back in service at 1:15 p.m.

Greencastle Police Department

Caleb Whitt of Greencastle was eastbound on E. Washington Street at 2:59 p.m. Tuesday, when his vehicle struck the back of vehicle operated by Lynn Baker of Reelsville, which then struck the back of a vehicle operated by Tina Newman of Greencastle.

There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Lawanda Appman, 62, Greencastle, was stopped on Percy Julian Drive at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday and cited for speeding -- 30 mph in a 20 mph zone.
