Lucille McWilliams Rigney, 80, of Reelsville passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.

She was born on March 2, 1930 in Versailles, Ky. to Virgil McWilliams and Julia Wethington McWilliams.

Mrs. Rigney was a member of First Assembly of God (The StoreHouse) and was known by many in the community for her vegetables at the Farmer's Market. In addition to gardening, she loved to sew and crochet.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Hershel C. Rigney; children, Wanda M. Thomas and husband Donald of Reelsville, Hershel Ray Rigney of Noblesville, Garry D. Rigney Sr. and wife Debra of Greencastle, Arlene G. Tincher and husband Michael of Greencastle, Kay F. Jackson and husband Ray of Greencastle and Martha L. Clar and husband Timothy of Greencastle; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rigney was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Louis McWilliams, Billy McWilliams and Virgil McWilliams; a sister, Dorothy Evans; and two grandsons, Eric Joseph Rigney and Kent Douglas Gilliam.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Boone Hutcheson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
