Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 2 W. Seminary St. at 8:39 p.m. Monday for a gas leak. They were back in service at 9:30 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to a car fire just south of Big Walnut Sports Park on SR 243 at 10:21 p.m. Monday, but were disregarded before leaving the station.

Crews were dispatched to 1014 Mill Pond Lane at 9:59 a.m. Tuesday, but were disregarded before leaving the station.

Crews were dispatched to the Student Union building on the campus of DePauw University, 408 S. Locust St., at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday for an alarm. They were back in service at 11:26 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 1001 Barrington Drive at 2:03 p.m. Tuesday for a possible lightning strike. They were back in service at 2:48 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 407 W. Franklin St. at 5:51 p.m. Tuesday for a possible car fire. It was an overheated vehicle and they were back in service at 6 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to the Student Union, 408 S. Locust St., at 7:07 p.m. Tuesday for an alarm. They were back in service at 7:22 p.m.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Joshua P. Daupert of Indianapolis was traveling west on CR 725E near Fillmore at 7:01 p.m. July 9 and couldn't maintain his lane rounding a curve due to the weather conditions. His vehicle struck an eastbound vehicle operated by Wren R. Miethe of Roachdale.

Kenny's Wrecker Service towed Miethe's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Ronald McKamey of Cloverdale was traveling on SR 243 at 2:50 p.m. Saturday on his 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle, when a deer entered the roadway causing McKamey to strike the animal. His motorcycle came to rest in a ditch, while he and his passenger were ejected from the bike.

There was an estimated $10,001 to $25,000 in damages.

Dawn C. Mustard of Bowling Green was traveling west on US 40 at 2:26 a.m. Friday, when a deer struck the driver's side of her vehicle.

Her vehicle was not towed and there was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Ryan O'Neal, 21, Coatesville, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 6:26 p.m. Tuesday for violation of probation.

Jesus Uribe, 41, Salt Lake City, Utah, was booked at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday for dealing in schedule drugs and other offenses not listed.

Tracy E. Westmoreland, 27, Greencastle, was booked at 2:37 p.m. Wednesday for parole violation.
