Summer swinging

Friday, July 23, 2010
Fifteen-year-old Trevor Billings, 10-year-old Charlie Billings and 9-year-old Jessica Peacock enjoy a nice day at Robe Ann Park during their summer break. The kids said their favorite part of summer break has been going to Holiday World and riding the large water slides. All the children are from Crawfordsville, but were in Greencastle for a family picnic at the park.

  • Maybe kids of that size should not be using the tire swing like that. That is how things at the park get torn and broken is big kids trying to be little again.

  • Seriously?!? If you have ever been to the park and seen the swing, it is very sturdy, as is the plan for outdoor play equipment! I've seen that swing with 8 little kids on it! Leave the kids alone and let them have some fun! Besides, they probably posed for the picture! My kids would have! Emerald Palace rocks! We're there 2-3 times a week and I haven't seen anything broken, or in poor condition. The staff does a great job of keeping the park in clean, safe condition.
