They've got spirit

Friday, July 30, 2010
The 2010 Putnam County Fair Cheerleading Competition had a red, white and blue theme, with emcee Jim Hardwick blaring patriotic-themed music and leading the crowd in chants of "U.S.A." But the night belonged to the Crimson and Gray, as the Danville cheer squad won the overall title on the night. North Putnam was named the best All-County squad, while Greencastle was honored with the Best Spirit award. GHS also won the freshmen division of the cheer contest as well. Members of the North Putnam All-County squad include Cara Stanley, Altera Harris, Morgan Christy, Hannah Williamson, Caroline Byrd, Audrey Healey, Jenna Holtze, Ashlyn Clark, Caitlin Abdon, Halsey Foltz, Lauren Human, Jenny Upleger, Autumn McClellan, Adria Bracken, Ciara Cope, Kayla Miller, Jordan Strow, Tatum Straziscar, Darion Polly, Kayla Moore, Nellie Asher and Lauren Green. Green was also honored as Outstanding Senior Cheerleader for 2010.
