Russell Eugene Roe

Russell Eugene Roe, 83, of Roachdale died at his residence Sunday. He was born on April 29, 1927 in Barnard to Bert and Mary May Miller Roe.

He attended Barnard Schools and worked at Chevrolet in Indianapolis and farmed most of his life.

He married Barbara Lucas, who passed away in March of 1985. He later married Beulah Davis on June 10, 1999, in Greencastle and she survives.

Other survivors include sons David (Becky) Roe of Crawfordsville, Mike (Karen) Roe of Terre Haute, Steve Roe of Sanleon, Texas; step-sons Gary (Susan) Davis of Brownsburg, Bobby Davis of Russellville, Tim (Linda) Davis of Bainbridge, Michael (Stacey) Davis of Gosport; step-daughters Kathy Smith of New Palestine, Sandra (John) Boller of Russellville; 30 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters: Dorman, Charles Eldon, Bert Roland, Buford, Emery, Everet and Floyd Roe; sisters Elsie Gordon, Iva Lively and Leatha Good.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Barnard. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday. Brother Wally Beam will officiate.
