Alice Elzada Stout

Alice Elzada Stout, 89, of Greencastle passed away on Monday, Aug. 23, 2010.

She was born on June 9, 1921 in Bainbridge to Robert Lee Brown and Lula Rae Nash Brown.

Surviving are five of her children, Ira Stout, Jr. and wife, Ruby, Richard Stout and wife, Ginger, Gary Stout and wife Jean, Stanley Stout and wife, Alice, and Brenda Linville and companion, Darrell Goldman; two stepsisters, Bert Calloway and husband, Max, and Immodean Parker; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Stout was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ira B. Stout; daughter, Joan Hatfield; and siblings, Julia Alexander, Jeannette "Nettie" Dickie, Aden "Bud" Brown, and Annamae Jobe.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Flatwoods Cemetery on the family property.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stout will be lovingly remembered for her yeast donuts that she provided to the Miller Elementary School second grade annual class trip to the family farm.
