Clovers take second

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale junior varsity volleyball team finished second in its own six-team round-robin tournament Saturday. The Clovers defeated West Vigo 25-19 and 25-8 and beat Turkey Run 25-20 and 25-17. In the championship game, the Clovers lost to Owen Valley 25-13 and 25-10.

Leading the Clovers was Ali Nees with 14 points and five aces, with Rebekah Jordan adding 14 points and four aces. Kourtney Hubbard had 13 points and four aces, while Lindsay Robson had eight points and one ace. Adri Patterson six points and three aces and Katie Fulkerson had five points and two aces.

Patterson led the attack with 11 kills, with Kalie Shadwick adding eight. Jordan and Fulkerson had seven kills and Nees had two. At the net, Shadwick had two blocks. Robson had 25 set assists.

Hubbard had eight digs, with Heather Goss adding seven digs. Jordan had six digs and Robson, Patterson and Fulkerson had four digs each.
