Greencastle wins No. 12
ELLETSVILLE -- The Greencastle boys' soccer team traveled to Elletsville Tuesday and earned another shut out victory over the Edgewood Mustangs.
The Tiger Cubs dominated play in the first half to take a 5-0 lead, with five different players scoring.
Kyle Parker came out of the goal to start the contest and scored the opening goal 10 minutes into the match. Sonney Basham, Marcus Benassi, Spencer Moore and Jon Good each added a goal in the first half.
Josh Bonebrake scored in the first three minutes of the second half to put the Tiger Cubs ahead 6-0. Spencer Moore rounded out the scoring adding his second goal of the evening with 4:24 to play.
The win is its 12th on the season and is the sixth consecutive shut out for the Tiger Cubs.
They will host Terre Haute North next Tuesday evening at Dee Monnett Field with the JV playing at 5 p.m. followed by a varsity match at 7 p.m.
