Energy assistance available

The Energy Assistance Program of Western Indiana Community Action Agency Inc. will begin the 2010-11 Winter Heating Assistance Program on Tuesday.

Applications will be taken by appointment only. All applicants must bring the following documentation in order to apply for assistance:

* Verification of income for all household members for the past 12 months

* Social Security cards for all household members

* Current household heating and electric bills

* A copy of lease or rental agreement, if applicable

To schedule an appointment, call 653-4017. The office is located at 620 Tennessee St., Greencastle.

The office will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., closing from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.
