Free skin cancer clinic offered Oct. 18

GREENCASTLE -- On Oct. 18, Dr. Christopher Bohyer with Dermatology, Inc. will be conducting free skin cancer screens at Putnam County Hospital.

The screen is a bi-annual event sponsored by the Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center.

"Early detection is the key to treating melanoma," Lou Fordice, LPN, said. "We offer the free screen to encourage more people to take an interest in their health and to protect themselves from cancer."

The screen will be conducted by appointment only. To schedule your skin cancer screen, please contact the Cancer Center at 655-2581.

The screens will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Outpatient Specialty Clinic on the first floor of the hospital.
