The gift of reading

Wednesday, October 6, 2010
During the month of October the South Putnam National Honor Society students are assisting in an Indianapolis Colts-sponsored book drive for the Indiana Department of Child Services. New and gently used books will be collected at school and at Friday's football game, Senior Night. These books will be given to children and teens in foster care. The statewide goal is to collect 500,000 books by halftime of the Thanksgiving weekend Colts game. The books South Putnam collects in October will be added toward that total. A drop box for donations is located at South Putnam Junior-Senior High School in the library media center.
