Tax prep volunteers sought

The local AARP Tax- Aide program is looking for volunteers who enjoy helping others and the challenge of completing tax forms. All volunteers will be provided with training materials, as well as assistance in completing the test required by the Internal Revenue Service.

Once training is completed,individuals will have the knowledge necessary to prepare most tax returns.

All tax preparation will be done at the Putnam County Public Library.

Volunteers are asked to be available at least four hours per week.

All tax preparation is done by appointment, and volunteers will always work with a partner.

The season begins Feb. 1 and concludes on April 15.
