Bloodmobile taking donations today

The Indiana State Police Post at Putnamville will host its inaugural blood drive from noon to 4 p.m. today.

The "bloodmobile" from the Indiana Blood Center will be onsite taking blood donations from troopers and civilians assigned to the Putnamville Post.

During this four-hour time period, members of the public, any governmental agency and staff from the Putnamville Correctional Facility are invited to attend.

The post is located at 1927 West U.S. 40 in Greencastle.

Arts and crafts abound at fairgrounds Friday and Saturday

There will be an arts and craft show at Putnam County Fairgrounds from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday sponsored by the Past Presidents of Extension Homemakers.

There will be more than 40 vendors, and food will be available during the show. The fairgrounds is located two miles north of Greencastle on U.S. 231 N. Call 246-6201 with questions.

Flu shots, Nasal Mist available at Health Department

The Putnam County Health Department has influenza shots and Nasal Mist available at no charge for children through 18 years. Adults may have the shot for a fee of $20.

The Health Department is located at 209 W. Liberty St. in Greencastle.

Free fall harvest meal, music Sunday

Brick Chapel United Methodist Church will host a free fall harvest meal and concert at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Following the meal, music will be provided by Renewal, a band comprised of Doug Newman, Steve Lindley and brothers Mike and Steve Cruse, life-long friends from the Tangier, Parke County area. Having performed throughout the USA at churches, colleges, festivals and multi-faith events, Renewal's musical ministry invites families to live the values taught by Jesus Christ and scripture. Their style is best described as eclectic and high energy, with many original compositions.

Everyone is invited and welcome to attend this free annual Harvest Meal and Concert.

Church's annual bazaar, bake sale

will be Nov. 13

Christian Women's Fellowship of First Christian Church will hold its annual bazaar, bake sale and white elephant sale from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 13 in Fellowship Hall of the church. Entrance to the sale will be at the back of the church by the parking lot. Homemade baked goods, noodles and other food items plus crafts and a white elephant sale will be featured.

Christmas bazaar planned for Nov. 13

St. Paul's Guild will have its annual Christmas bazaar from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 13 in the church narthex, 202 E. Washington St. in Greencastle. Crafts, baked goods, Christmas items, used books, toys, nuts and Rada Cutlery will be offered in addition to a chili lunch.
