Open house planned, weather permitting

The McKim Observatory will have an open house from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight if the weather is clear. If it is cloudy, the event will be canceled. The next open house is planned for Dec. 3.

Toddler Turkey Time

The Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department and the Putnam County Museum invite all little gobblers to come and celebrate a kids Thanksgiving with stories, games, crafts and first Thanksgiving inspired snacks to end the evening.

This program is designed for those gobblers ages 2 to 6, but all are welcome to participate.

Limited space is available, and pre-registration is required. Deadline is 5 p.m. today.

The event will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Putnam County Museum.

Cost is $5 per youth and checks should be payable to Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department.

Rummage sale is today

A rummage and bake sale will take place today at the Coatesville United Methodist Church, located at 4863 Milton Ave. in Coatesville.

The event is sponsored by the church's United Methodist Women, and will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church basement.

Proceeds will benefit several local charities.
