Marguerite 'Maggie' Louise Richard

Marguerite 'Maggie' Louise Richard, 80, of Clayton, died Nov. 22, 2010 in Yellow Rose Hospice Unit at Methodist Hospital.

She was born March 19, 1930 in Greencastle.

Maggie was raised by Rueben and Margaret (cooper) Cain. She married Charles "Charlie" Richard Nov. 20, 1971, and he survives.

She had been employed at the Clayton Café for 26 years, retiring in April 2009. Maggie was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church and had attended the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Hall.

Surviving with her husband are her children, Mike (Pam) Bassett of Brazil, Marcia (Paul) Lowe of Hazelwood, Stan (Jan) Bassett in Plainfield, Sandy Bassett of Westminster, Md., Vicki (Jay) Allgood of Waveland, Pam Curtis of Clayton and Junior (Marcella) Bassett of Plainfield; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a step-daughter, Patricia (William) Gilbert of Rosedale.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Weaver and Randolph Funeral Home in Clayton with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Burial will be at Clayton Cemetery.
