Clovers go 4-1 at Western Boone Invite

THORNTOWN -- The Cloverdale wrestling team went 4-1 at the Western Boone Invite Saturday. The Clovers are 11-6 on the season.

Jeremy Boldman, Eldin Hesselgrave, Donnie Helterbrand, Tyde Fredrick and Matt Hall all were 5-0 on the day. Nick Schwomeyer had four wins on the day, with Tyler Howard, Cody Stout and Kody Kohler recorded three wins each.

The Clovers defeated Clinton Prairie 66-18, Western Boone 41-33, Crawfordsville 52-27 and Frankfort 43-36. Their only loss came against Tri-West 42-36.

On the season, Boldman leads the team in team points (92), falls (10) and is tied with Helterbrand in wins with 16. Helterbrand leads the team in takedowns (45) and tech falls (3).

Hesselgrave is tops for the Clovers in major decisions (4), escapes (9) and first takedowns (15).

Cloverdale won't be back in action until Dec. 16 when it hosts the Putnam County Tournament.
